The back of each bear shows the state flag or emblem.

The cards depict state quarters alongside each bear, showing the state name, year, and quarter design. For example, the North Carolina 1789 card has a light blue bear with the North Carolina state flag on its back and the state quarter featuring the Wright brothers' first flight. The Rhode Island 1790 card has a light blue bear with Rhode Island's flag and a quarter featuring a sailboat. Other states include Vermont 1791, Kentucky 1792, Tennessee 1796, Ohio 1803, Louisiana 1812, Indiana 1816, Mississippi 1817, Illinois 1818, Alabama 1819, Maine 1820, Missouri 1821, and Arkansas 1836, each with its corresponding bear, flag, quarter, and characteristic colors. Each card grants five minutes of calling time within the U.S., Canada, and the Caribbean, marked at the bottom along with AT&T’s logo on the right side.
